About me
Hi there! I'm Chantal Hulsman, and I'm originally from the Netherlands. Since 2019, I've been enjoying life in beautiful Moraira, on the Costa Blanca in Spain!
I've had a passion for drawing since high school, where I incorporated art into my studies to relax and express my creativity alongside my other subjects. After high school, I experimented more with acrylics on canvas and even took a basic art class for fun.
Painting and drawing allow me to channel my emotions and find relaxation. In 2017-2018, my partner and I decided to travel the world for a year, and in preparation, I sold all my art supplies.
After our travels, we moved to Spain in 2019 to open a coffee and wine bar on the Costa Blanca, leaving me little time for my hobby. However, I’ve missed it!
At the end of 2024, my fellow artist friend, Sara Smith, gifted me an easel she found in the old storage space of her villa. That inspired me to dive back into painting and drawing. And it feels great to create again!
